There is nothing wrong with him. He has been sitting unattended since he was five months, rolling to his sides and onto his tummy since four months, claps and does hours of play time on his tummy - but won’t roll on to his back. He stands, takes steps and is close to crawling. But will not or cannot roll onto his back.
What should we do? He gets stuck on his tummy at night and it wakes him up. |
| Ours is 7 months and the same way.. not worried yet.. |
| Talk to the pediatrician. They may tell you to call early intervention for an evaluation. Does he get on all fours to almost crawl? |
| More tummy time during the day. |
| He’s probably not interested in the skill. As long as he’s interested in other skills, I wouldn’t stress. |

Mine wouldn't roll back to tummy. She was crawling at 6 months and walking before 9 months, but if she fell onto her back she would thrash like a beached whale. She finally figured it out at 10 months. Kids are weird.
If he's otherwise normal, OP, I'd just make sure he gets lots of floor time. You can tempt him with a phone or keys if he needs motivation. |
