How do you count days past ovulation

I had an IVF cycle cancelled and the dr told us to have TI. I triggered with Ovidrel on Thu 11/19. Had TI on 11/20 and 11/21. For the past few days, at least since Friday I've been having pg symptoms, specifically the heavy tender boobs and heartburn (could just be a coincidence). My libido is also running super high, which also happened the last time. (PMSing my libido is nonexistent) I'm not on progesterone so the drugs are not causing the false symptoms. I didn't feel anything until last Friday 11/27. I've been pg before (had to terminate) so the feeling in the boobs is virtually unmistakeable.

However, I just took a pg test and it was negative so I know the trigger shot is out of my system. It is early for testing and I didn't use FMU, but still. I was wondering how you count DPO. From the day of trigger or another day. They tell you that you will ovulate 24-48 hours after the shot. This is the 3rd time we've done the TI thing and the other two times I knew I wasn't pg, because I didn't have the boob thing going on.

I go in Wednesday for the official blood test and even that is early, day 25 of my cycle. Any insights? Could it just be to early to register?

I think you should ovulate about 36 hrs after trigger, so if you triggered PM on 11/19, you'd ovulate AM on 11/21. So today you'd be 9dpo (very early to be testing) and your blood test is scheduled for 11dpo, which is also on the early side.

Assuming it's a quantitative blood test, it's likely to pick up something if you are pregnant. However, while most pregnancies implant at 7-10 dpo, it is possible to implant later, in which case your blood test at 11dpo could be negative but you could still be pregnant if you have a later implantation.

Just chipping in to see if the bloodwork 11dpo is actually going to be a progesterone check to see if you need supplemental progesterone - that seems pretty early for a beta hcG.

OP here. I had the progesterone check last week. It was 16.1. The doc had me come in a day earlier for my progesterone check because of the holiday weekend. I guess I'll just have to wait.

OP here. I just changed the day of the bt to Friday. It should be accurate then.
