I found a solid wood dining table that looks decent but not sure of Birch Lane quality. My other option is one from Pottery Barn, but it has some veneer, not solid wood.
Anyone have experience ordering a table from there? |
Pottery barn is not good quality for the price. |
How much do you want to spend? |
Birch lane is like Wayfair or JCP or Macy's...they sell millions of things from different makers. The price will usually reflect the quality. There is not one "quality" level for Birch lane or Wsyfair. Some things are lower price point and some things are higher. I've been happy with my purchases, but I wasn't expecting the best quality. I want something that will last 5-10 yrs and then I'll sell it and switch it out. I study the comments and the photos in reviews before committing on anything. |
I want to spend $1,000 or less for the table. I was thinking the solid wood one would last the longest.

Go to creative classics in Alexandria or green front in Manassas (not affiliated with both). We got great quality furniture at much lower prices that PB. It pains me that the online furniture choices are so overpriced for the quality and we had to spend the time driving to the stores, but the selection, quality, and savings were unbeatable. |
It’s not just like Wayfair, it IS Wayfair. |
I think that’s the place I ordered from and could NOT get through to customer service when I called the 800 number at normal business hours. Like got voice mail repeatedly. Super sketchy iMO - go to a brick and mortar. |
Birch Lane, Wayfair, Joss & Main and AllModern are all the same company. |
Pottery Barn varies! We've gotten some great pieces from there (solid wood dressers) and others that were absolute crap (bookshelves). |
