iPhone app for monitoring location

Which app do you use and how much does it cost? I'm not looking for something where we share each others location, I just want to be able to see my kids location.

Thanks!

Life360. Free.

Just do family sharing via Apple then using Find My Phone you can see where your kids are. I use it all the time. Also helpful to see where DH is on his commute home.

My adult kids and I use google maps location sharing on both iPhones and androids, it’s great.

Find my friends.

Life360 lets you put up fences around an area and lets you know if they go somewhere, so you can get a notice if they leave the house (or say 1000 feet from the house). Or when they get home.

That's a pretty handy feature. Does the app require I share my location with my kid too?

Add them to your family sharing on iphone. They have to enable Location Sharing for you to be able to see where they are.

No. We use the App with our kids and the parents do not share - so they don't when we are near.
