Which app do you use and how much does it cost? I'm not looking for something where we share each others location, I just want to be able to see my kids location.
Thanks! |
| Life360. Free. |
| Just do family sharing via Apple then using Find My Phone you can see where your kids are. I use it all the time. Also helpful to see where DH is on his commute home. |
| My adult kids and I use google maps location sharing on both iPhones and androids, it’s great. |
| Find my friends. |

Life360 lets you put up fences around an area and lets you know if they go somewhere, so you can get a notice if they leave the house (or say 1000 feet from the house). Or when they get home.

That's a pretty handy feature. Does the app require I share my location with my kid too? |
| Add them to your family sharing on iphone. They have to enable Location Sharing for you to be able to see where they are. |
Yes, way better than find friends. |
| Life 360. It's great. |
No. We use the App with our kids and the parents do not share - so they don't when we are near. |
| I use find my friends. How is life 360 better? |

On Life360 How do you restrict access to bubble /fence setting?
My DC has learned to change the bubble
