INTERIOR COLOR - pros and cons, please sell me a color that you love!

Anonymous
The big color debate is in progress. WWYD?
My family pushes for brown, I am not loving it, but maybe you can tell me something to help me to love it!
I just can not see anything thrilling in it. Maybe I am missing something that could change my mind? Help me to see that something.

I personally like black for the obvious practicality but it does get a bit hot in the summer..
The car interior is going to be black if it makes any difference, I fear that the black interior comes with
black upholstery ceiling for the specific car I have in mind so I think it might feel wee bit too dark allover, all black top and bottom?
How does it feel if the entire interior is so dark?

I was looking at beiges but while lovely all around, I wonder how fast I would regret it with kids and a dog..
Also some people mentioned that the jeans can leave marks on the lighter surface? If ever, can it be clean or is it damaged goods?

Please tell me which of those would you choose:

Brown:

Black:

Beige:

So I assume you are buying a BMW since all those interiors are BMWs. What’s more important than the color is making sure you get the multi contour seats which look like the first 2 pictures. The leather choices are generally beige, ivory, light grey, black or brown. If you are getting the X3/3 series/4series than I would go for a red interior.

The way to break up the all black leather would be looking for a different color trim pieces so it’s looks slightly less monochrome. I recently purchased the BMW mocha interior (dark brown) and it looks great with a dark exterior.

I hate how hot the black makes my car seats feel

Beige. Unless you keep the black interior spotless, EVERY hair, crumb, debris will stand out and make it look dirty. Beige hides everything pretty much.

Beige. That orange color is hideous unless you are a pimp.

It’s not on your choice list, but we are very happy with our gray leather interior.

I have had all three that you posted in BMW's.

Black was the worst - too hot in the summer.

The lightest beige was my favorite and will probably do that again next time.

I currently have the darker beige from your original post. Took some getting used to but people always say they love it. Strange.

No, just NO to the red interior.

I always do beige or tan leather in my cars. I have never had a problem with maintaining them and they have worn well.

I have light beige leather. Was worried it would show everything but 5 years in it still look great! (Honda not bmw)

Oh my. I do not like black interiors b/c I feel like I'm in a cave. BUT, based on the pictures you posted, black is probably the best.

I actually chose my exterior color based only on what color was available for the interior! I didn't want the black or the ivory... so gray was my only option for interior. Gray interior only came on certain cars -- exterior colors: navy , dark red, and black/green. I didn't like the navy or black/green, so I went with the dark red exterior just so that I could have the gray interior (and avoid the black).

Of the colors you posted, my preference would be:
1. Black
2. Ivory
3. there is no #3 b/c that brown is awful.
