Anyone else with hail damage from the storm yesterday?

Yes, we're in MoCo and have some damage on the hood of our year old car. Going to get it repaired but our comprehensive deductible is $1k so will probably just do it out of pocket without making a claim.

You can definitely make a claim.

My buddy in Sydney, Australia was caught in a massive hail storm last year. His car was severely damaged. Apparently, there were 50,000 insurance claims: https://premium.goauto.com.au/sydney-hailstorm-brings-massive-repair-challenge/

The insurance companies had to import body and paint specialists from overseas to deal with all the claims!

I'd file a claim ASAP so you can get in line to get repairs. There will be delays and backlogs.
