We are surrounded by teens who are very social. Summer coming abd they often are up in their pools, playing music until midnight. I can handle on a weekend but weeknights its too much. WWYD?

Ha ha - enjoy the toilet paper in your trees and the eggs on your cars.
Just ask the kids to please turn the music down after 10 pm as you are dropping off some fresh cookies.

Where do you live?
Each county has a noise ordinance, usually 10 or 11.
Politely mention to your neighbor that your kids/neighborhood kids/yourself need to sleep on weeknights.
After that, if there is excessive noise (loud music, yelling, not just regular level kids talking noise), call the cops.

They honestly might not realize how much you can hear in your house with the windows closed.

Op here. I’m not really a call the cops person. I’ll talk to the parents about how our family are all light sleepers and that may be they can go inside when it’s 1030 or so.

Few counties enforce it. Anne Arundel is the worst.

We could be your neighbor. Weeknight they have to move it inside by 10. Weekends they have to move it inside by 12.

I would talk to the parents and the kids (if I knew the kids pretty well). I know it's frustrating to deal with the constant noise but I'd say it's key to go over when you're feeling calm. With most people if you approach them in a non-confrontational way and ask if they wouldn't mind changing something they are doing they will at least meet you half way. Don't let it fester and please don't call the police, especially as a first step.

Also, get yourself a white house machine or powerful fan - it helps tremendously.

Seems like a good policy!

Seriously. Grow a backbone. The passive tone and language are not going to get you anywhere but a free ride to resentment. Let me rewrite your post for you:

OP here. I will speak with the family first. If that doesn’t work, then I will call the police. I’ll talk to the parents about how our family needs to sleep and that all outside partying needs to stop at 10pm.

Drop the “maybe” and “or so” from your vocabulary.

Sorry but routinely being kept up on weekends until midnight because of a neighbors party is unreasonable. Fairfax County Zoning Ordinance requires you to lower the volume by 10pm.
