Audio monitors with multiple baby units to one parent unit?

This probably doesn't exist, but I thought I'd ask.
We are looking for audio monitors only for each of our three kids' rooms. Is there any system that will let me carry around only one parent unit linked to every kid unit? Or is it a 1:1 ratio because the technology isn't that advanced for the audio-only monitors? |

| Friends had one 8 years ago. It was by summer infant and they don't make it anymore. Most monitors are video now a days. |
