| I've heard that USC and umich are notorious for this. Any others? |
Tufts |
| All of them |
| Wash U. yield protects by making sure you at least show interest through visiting, etc. |
| Case western |
|
Back in the day, Franklin & Marshall and Tufts started the whole thing.
Hard to know who does it still. A lot of people just use it to explain why their kid wasn’t admitted when they actually don’t understand where their DC stands among the competition. |
+1 |
| Rhodes. Big time. Waitlists nearly perfect stat kids if they don’t visit or meet with a rep. |
Or almost all. Not MIT, Cal Tech or Stanford. Those three are sui generis. |
| Georgetown |
Yes, but they were very up-front about it. |
| Lehigh |
| UVA |
I don't think they need to. Can you link to your source? It better not be that some kid with a 4.0 got denied one time. |
| Is "yield protect" different than "demonstrated interest"? |
