Mosquito and Tick Repellant- Ranger Ready

Anonymous
Has anyone used the Ranger Ready repellents, and if so, were they effective?

We live in Columbia and go on walks on the trails pretty much daily. Ticks arent a huge concern since we do daily baths/checks (he is a sweaty boy and messy eater ) but he is getting welts from the one of two mosquito bites he has gotten.

Last year he was still in a stroller and we used netting over so this wasnt an issue. Nowadays, we have to run him ragged in the afternoon so outside is a must. We dont have an private outdoor space so spraying the area is not an option.

If you have any suggestions for mosquito and tick spray- please let me know!

Also, does anyone treat their kids shoes with the permethrin as a preemptive step?

This comes up again and again.

Use a spray with deet or picardin.

Anything else is snake oil.

The end.

So i guess the answer is no you havent tried it and/or dont know what it is since it is 20% picardin.

Thanks for the general knowledge. Was looking for specific experiences.
