Riding Bart at 5 am

We need to be at San Francisco airport by 6 for an 8 am flight. It says it will take about an hour and fifteen minutes to get there from where we are. Is it safe to ride at 4:45/5 am?

I would not. I live in the bay area and I would take an uber or a taxi because of safety and reliability. Can you not stay at one of the hotels near the airport in millbrae or around there the night before your flight? There are a whole bunch of hotels right near SFO.

Where will you be coming from? Probably safe, but make sure that the train is running as early as you'd like to go. I thought they shifted opening time to 5:00 AM.

did you look at this time table of schedules by station? https://www.bart.gov/schedules

I live in SF. I wouldn't do it that early. The platforms will not have enough people on them.

I’d go up and stay the night before.

yep, agree with this. BART is pretty safe but when there are attacks it is when almost no one is there. I would not want even want my dh doing this on his own, let alone trying to do it with suitcases and kids.

Thanks so much folks! I’m going to have to skip the lattes for the next week and just Get car service!

BART service starts around 5 AM for most stops, so will you even be able to get there on time?

There are hotels near SFO with 24 hour shuttle service to the airport included. That may be your best bet if you are worried about safety and convenience. A quick search shows the La Quinta and the Aloft and the Hyatt Regency in Millbrae offer this convenience (24 hour shuttle).

It's not safe. Sadly, liberals don't want to hold people accountable for their poor behavior choices. Sucks for the normal people.

sF citizens won't ever learn their voting patterns gave consequences.
