I hate leatherette seats

Anonymous
In the market for new, and all test drives have had leatherette seats, which are so hot and sticky in the summer. Is real leather any better?

I have cloth now and it's fine, but available only on the lower trim lines of the cars I'm looking at. Just wondering what others think of the pros and cons of seat material.

Either cloth or real leather where you put your bottom - leatherette is fine elsewhere.

I love leather.

In fact in my last two used cars, I had the seats redone in leather when I purchased them.

I will never buy a car with leather seats hecause i do my best to not support animal cruelty if i can. I can also tell u as a car seat tech that leather seats are a pita compared to cloth seats.

Most high end car brands do not offer the fabric anymore.

I hear you. And applaud you. I am with you, and I hope also you don't wear leather shoes.
