For a long time, my son has been scratching his neck, face & head all the time. There is no rash, no redness, no flaky skin or sort, and they are clean. He does not have any allergy, and I have confirmed with his pediatrician. I have asked him if they are itchy, but he declines to answer me (he is 3). He has been using Johnson head-to-toe baby wash & shampoo for his body & hairwash since born. I want to change his body wash & shampoo to see if that could help. Please recommends.

Poofy Organics baby wash.
J&J changed its formulation about a year ago and my daughter started reacting to it. |
J&J is very drying. We use Burt's Bees because I can get it on subscribe and save. |
Change to literally anything else and see if it makes a difference. Doesn't matter what.
If you like a product that's both shampoo and body wash in one, the everyone lavender 3-in-1 kids wash is nice. I usually buy it when it's 30% off at whole foods but it's available other places. https://www.eoproducts.com/collections/3-in-1-hand-soap |
Burts Bees baby shampoo and wash for our 3 yo. Aveeno was too drying for him as a baby and we've used the Burts Bees since. |
Eucerin Baby Wash. Also, have you tried lotion? |
Check for lice |

Happy cappy Shampoo/wash is excellent. |
Suave has a “free & gentle” kids line. |
+1. Even our pediatrician thought DD was reaction to a hair care product...but it turned out to be lice. |
We started using Weleda calendula body wash when DC was a baby and are still using it four years later. It's excellent.
For shampoo, we still use J&J since DS has relatively oily hair and needs something appropriate for that (I'd love to switch but haven't found anything that's tear-free and as effective as Johnsons). |
Briogeo shampoo and conditioner. Do you have hard water by chance? We have a softener but it isn't enough for our area. I also follow with Vanicream lotion. |
OP, I’m pretty sure Johnson’s is the worst soap ever. People have used it in studies, and then they measure the chemicals in their bloodstream over time, and it’s astounding.
Pick a different soap. |
