Six-mile back-up on I-66 = commute from hell

This is why I warned my friends buying out beyond the beltway that you think your commute will 'only' be 45 minutes. Until you get a six-mile backup at 7:00am in the morning. And these backups are a biweekly occurrence these days.

Actually no longer 6 miles.

Vehicles were backed up for nine miles shortly before 7 a.m. - NBC Washington Traffic team

between the tanker truck on the legion bridge, the concrete truck on the toll road, and a car runs in the back of a flatbead and kills the driver, GW parkway sinkholes.

The woman killed, hit a fully tractor trailer parked on the right side, at 2am.

I'm going to guess she was drunk. Or on her phone. If that's the case, then nothing of value was lost, and it's lucky nobody else was harmed.
