news/talk show women and sleeveless dresses

What do you think about it? I honestly don't care for the look in that context. Also it looks weird to have a bunch of men in jackets and ties while the women are in sleeveless dresses. How do they handle the thermostat on those sets?

I think it is odd when the women on TV wear sleeveless dresses in the winter. It doesn't bother me as much in the spring or summer. The men have their "uniform" too (full suits) that don't change with the seasons.

I can't help but think the women wearing these sleeveless dresses in winter are just trying to show more skin or show-off their nice arms. But, they are probably more comfortable (unless cold). Maybe the studio lights keep them warm and they throw on a sweater or jacket when off air.

It's hot under the lights, and pretty young women with pretty young arms attract more viewers and make more money.

See: Fox bimbos.

I agree. Why can’t the women wear business suits like the men? Or a sleeved dress? It irks me that women have to be sexy all the time. I get it but it’s still annoying.

I love sleeveless dresses.

Men suits otoh drive me crazy. I don't understand why men can't figure out how to dress.

business suits for women are ugly.

sleeveless dresses are not sexy FFS

Men should learn how to dress stylish without always being in a boring suit.

I work in a conservative profession where sleeveless dresses are not allowed for women, nor open collars for men. I think they are tacky, anyway. I don’t need to see a glimpse of your armpits in the workplace.

Agreed, men should dress outside the box and suits are boring. Sleeveless dresses are tacky and unflattering. And frankly unprofessional. No one seen needs to see your full arm n the workplace.

What?? Since when are sleeveless dresses sexy? We are talking about women exposing their ARMS.

Also, business suits are boring to look at and boring to wear. Men don't have any other choice but at least women can break up the monotony and dress in something a little more interesting.

Not all sleeveless dresses are inappropriate for work I’m talking about tight sleeveless sheath dresses. To me they look more appropriate for cocktail hour.

Well, anything that's too tight is inappropriate for the average workplace, but news anchors and talk show hosts aren't in an average workplace. They have to appeal to viewers. There's a reason you don't see overweight or unattractive news anchors or talk show hosts.

I'm wearing sleeveless dresses because I'm always hot.
