Flut shot fatigue

Anonymous
I have finally tracked down a second dose of the H1N1 for my kids next week. It's the mist, so they won't be able to get the seasonal flu mist for another month, and I haven't been able to find the preservative-free seasonal flu shot, and they're pretty healthy (knock on wood), and the absentee rate at their school is down, and...and I think I'm just not going to have the energy to get them the seasonal flu vaccine as well as this year. Anyone else giving up?

It is like a full time job! I wouldn't worry about seasonal for now. Just keep an eye on things. If all of a sudden seasonal is everywhere, you can always get a vaccine for it then - or even opt for the one with mercury. I bet there will be a big supply of both in another month or so. Unless things get worse!

I agree in that it's exhausting. I feel like I have spent the past 6 mos of my life worried about the flu, getting the shots, worried about getting the shots, worrying AFTER getting the shots, the whole damn bit.

I know, same here. When my pediatrician said they had shots available and I got an appointment, I felt like I had just won the lottery...

I don't care about thimerosal, so I got us all the seasonal shots at Target last week, and got DD's H1N1 booster last weekend, and now I feel like yesssssssssssssssssssssss, I can stop thinking about this.

In fact, what on earth am I doing still checking the Flu Forum? Hah!

Byeee!
