Which VA/WV resort is most fun for the holidays?

We would be there before Christmas, not for Christmas, but would still love a place with holiday lights, ice skating, sleigh rides, etc. Thanks!

We visited the Homestead last year after X-mas for about 3 nights, and the kids loved it. Great indoor pool, bowling, ice skating, some very beginner skiing, beautiful decorations. I think they are running a lot of specials this year at the holidays - business must be hurting.

Is that the water park in Williamsburg, or am I thinking of something else?

We're thinking of Wintergreen. Anyone been there around the holidays?

I think the Mountain Lake Hotel does Christmas packages. It is in SW Virginia near Blacksburg and Dirty Dancing was filmed on location there.

Hands down - the Greenbrier

Homestead has hayrides, an new ice rink amongst the Christmas lights, awesome decorations, probably skiing now (you'd have to check), a lovely indoor pool and it's just plain nice.
