| Why is having a leather seats so important? The fake leather especially in high end cars looks amazing. |
| Fake leather is terrible in the summer |
| Fake leather smells bad and well, it looks fake. |
Always? Through the life of the car or is it like summer or two? |
| unless you are in a real high end car, you only getting leather on your seating surface. Ie the place you ass touches. eveything else is vinyl... nice looking vinyl though... |
| Fake leather isn't quite the same thing as the real thing, OP. |
| fewer features, OP, not less. |
| I had leatherette (i.e., fake leather) in my Audi A4 and leather in my Audi Q5. Both seemed fine to me. I couldn't really tell the difference. |
| Fake leather usually a turnoff, I get real leather in my car. my wife has a Mercedes with their fake leather, however, and it is amazing. Really nice. I would opt for it over real leather. |
|
Had BMWs and Mercedes with both real and fake leather. It is such a minor difference that we likely will not pay extra for real leather.
Modern "fake leather" is not like the hard slippery vinyl they use in the 80s that was prone to cracking. At least the German brands have really figured it out. |
| I agree - I had fake leather in my Mercedes and Infiniti and would never pay for real leather again. My seats look great and I have zero complaints about the fake leather they use! |
yes, thank you!

Are you concerned that there is a possibility of this thing releasing something into the cabin. Just wondering. |
| I’m super sensitive to synthetic materials. I also won’t wear polyester clothes. |
