Elementary School Summer Program at PG Community College

Does anyone have experience or knowledge of the PG Community College Summer Program (elementary school level)? If so, would you recommend? Was it heavy academics and lecture based?

My daughter has done this camp for 3 years and my son will do it this year. The morning is strictly math or english. The instructors are current teachers. The kids are tested to see where they are and so the instructor can design the morning around their needs. They get an hour for lunch and the afternoon is whatever activity they choose at registration. My daughter has liked all but one afternoon session she took. The kids love the cooking class and my daughter liked the braiding class. The only miss is that there is no sports or recess because the campus is not designed like that. We make sure to go to the playground or bike riding or something outdoors most days after camp and that has worked fine.

I will say my daughter was well prepared for the school year because she was kept in learning mode.
