camps for 3 year old in MD?

Anonymous
Love our preschool/daycare, but the summer activities are really lame....our DD will be 3 in March & still not potty trained (hopefully by summer, but who knows?)...Any ideas for camps next summer? (we live in Rockville) TIA

Winchester School in Silver Spring (but very close to the Rockville border) has camp starting at 3, but I think the kids have to be potty-trained. If she'll be 3 in March, I'd say there's a good chance she'll be trained by June. For the camp, it's pretty low-key, with arts and crafts, water play, playground time, etc.

There's also Children's Learning Center, which I believe doesn't require potty training but may not have specific "camp" either.

Maryland state law has 3.5 years as a cutoff for some regulation (I'm not sure exactly which one), so you will find a lot of camps that accept kids starting at age 3.5 in Maryland. A March birthday means another year of only camps that also serve 2 year olds, most likely. For example, Silver Stars in Silver Spring (Gymnastics) starts at 3.5 years, Evergreen Camp in Wheaton starts at 3.5 years.
