Jeff,
A while back something really bizarre happened with a post of mine. I always intended to mention it but forgot about it. I had posted something that some other poster disagreed with. When she wrote in, her comment appeared WITHIN my post as opposed to being in it's own separate post. I was thinking that 1) either it's an application glitch or 2) one of the people who has access over DCUM posts accidentally posted WITHIN my post. I checked a few hours later and it disappeared from my post and was in it's own separate post. Curious, besides you, are there many others who have write access to our posts? |
Only Maria and me are able to edit posts.
However, what you describe very much like cases in which someone was responding to your post, but didn't quote your message correctly. Frequently, the "quoted" message has no indication that it is quoted. The new poster's text simply follows, or is interspersed with the quoted text. However, I don't know why it would have disappeared. Another possibility is that it was some sort of technical glitch. All kinds of devices are being used on the Internet these day that can interfere with the display of a web page. What you describe would be unusual, but not out of the question. |
Maybe they edited the post? Are we permitted to edit our own posts? |
Only if you post while logged in. |
