3 cycles in 6 months - still bloated

Anonymous
I have definitely gained weight during my cycles ...

Last retrieval was in March and I am still bloated! I look at least 3-4 months pregnant. It’s embarrassing. And ironic.

When the weather was cooler I could get away with big cardigans but now that it’s warm I hate wearing spring/summer clothes.

Argh.

I’m sorry. I did eight cycles over three years and gained about 50 pounds. Be kind to yourself. It may take time for bloating to go down and wait to be lost.

I lost about 50 pounds while cycling 4 times. I ate under 1000 calories a day and exercised more than I had in the best. I had a high BMI to start, so I was by no means underweight as a result and I'm sure the weight loss helped with my treatment. Did you have PCOS? I was a low responder, so that was not an issue for me. I was old.

Thank you for sharing this ... I am trying not to beat myself up over it, but it just feels very frustrating.

1000 calories? Is that safe while going through IVF?

I took a lot of vitamins - high quality fish oil, vitamin d - etc. Yes it was safe. It increased the safety of my pregnancy I'm sure to lose that much weight and increase fitness (it was equivalent to a couch to 5 k increase in fitness). I am older now and I will need to do all that again this time, so here I go. It's hard to lose weight.
