Saving money by hiring a moonighter?

Just wondering what thoughts are about hiring someone to fix household items or your car?
Is it bad to hire someone not registered to a company? Is their work as good, subpar, totally dangerous... idk I googled moonlighters today and found http://moonlightguy.com which is why I'm asking. Seems ok to me to hire someone working on the side especially if finances are tough. |
