| How much of your salary takes a price of a car you buy. Compare your total gross salary to full price of a car. For instance if you make 200K and you bought 42K car (after all expenses added). |
| The most I spent on a car was around 22k 10 years ago. HHI is around 340k now but lower back then. |
Are you driving incognito? |
| HHI is around 550 K. Last car purchased was $35,000 in 2003. Looking to purchase a new car in 2022 or 2023 |
| HHI 700ish. Last car was 46k, cash, eight years ago. |
| HHI around $235k, we are a single-car household and two years ago bought a $30k car (financed but at 0% interest so we'd have been stupid to pay cash) that we hope will last us the next 15+ years. |
| 135K spent $25K |
| HHI $900k, $50k cars paid in cash. We replace our cars every 4-5 years. |
|
I make only $40k so any car will be too expensive unless I drive it for a long time. Bought last one used for $15k and have driven it 11 years. It's mechanics are in good condition and should last another 3-5 years if not more.
I also didn't think a car lasts so long and didn't take good care of it's body. Has dings and rust but drives well. |
| HHI $400K. We have two $30K-ish cars (one bought new, other is closer to a $40K car that we bought a year old), a $20K motorcycle, and a $70K airplane. All bought with cash. |
|
14 year old car bought new for 15k and 9 year old car bought new for 20k.
100k hhi. |
|
HHI $250k.
Priciest car we've ever bought was $23k, several years back. That car is now 12 years old and still with us. (And looks every bit of 12, believe me.) Our other car is a 2014, we bought it used for $16k. |
|
HHI 200-260
$34k @ 0% net outlay last car (+9,500 value of old car). We tend to keep cars 6-8 years. |
| $210K - our last two cars were $25K (5 years ago) and $28K (a few months ago). Both were financed at 0%. Both replaced cars that were 10+ years old. |
