How safe the seatbelts actually are. Do you think one can get ejected in crash despite wearing them?

Quick answer is yes, especially in rollover crashes. Go figure. I used to think like most that seatbelts will keep you in place no matter what.

They increase chance of survival so everybody in the car should wear a seatbelt regardless of where they seat. I often see kids on the back seat frolicking about without the seatbelts. It is so sad, I have no idea weather the driver parent does not understand the risks or is okay with the risks. Either way it is baffling. It is also illegal in MD and VA, no idea about DC but I would assume it is not legal there either for kids to ride "loose" in the car under the age of 17 or so.

The crash tests at 35 mph shows how unbuckled person in the back crashes the driver in front of him with huge force reducing survival rate of the driver as well.

I honestly don’t understand why seatbelts aren’t all 5-point. Seems it’s be more comfortable and less likely to awkwardly wrinkle clothes.

Wait, duh, skirts. 4-point?

You can still be ejected, but are less likely to do so.
