Hi, I am planning to get SB5 test for my kid for AAP appeals. Just like WISC score of 130 is minimum, what is the minimum SB score (GAI or FSIQ) for Stanford Binet 5 tests? |
I mean, there is no stated minimum for any test. I expect you are looking more for anecdotally what scores people have gotten in, or not, on SB. It’s not as common. It might be more helpful if you offered other info, since it is a holistic process and there is not one test with one score that guarantees eligibility. |
130 is the bottom end of moderately gifted. If it is anywhere in that ballpark, then you should submit. Highly gifted are 145+. Obviously, the closer the score is to that, the better. |
Thanks, I had thought 130 was for WISC-v and slightly higher for SB5? May be I am wrong. Thanks for clarifying. |
There are pretty close parallels between the two tests, in terms of SD.
From https://stanfordbinetiqtest.com/iq-test-scoring/ Low average: 80-89 Average: 90-109 High average: 110-119 High achiever: 120-129 Moderately gifted: 130-144 Highly gifted: 145-160+ Surprisingly, they say that kids can/should study for some sections of the test! |
You have linked a website for taking fake online IQ tests as a form of entertainment. I’m not surprised at all BTW, SB has a standard deviation of 16 vs WISC’s 15. |
SB5 has a SD of 15. |
