and vise versa? The shot then booster with the mist?

I saw some guidance that they would like you to get the same type, i.e. mist-mist or shot-shot, but that if that wasn't available the next best thing is to get mist-shot or shot-mist. I think we had a thread on this last week.

OP here, thanks....does anyone know of where to find more info on this....the CDC is not helping or maybe I am not looking correctly.

OP here. Yes, thank you, it does help!! I am feeling overly concerned about it, but so much of the h1n1 stuff starts to feel "off the cuff" you know? I have an asthmatic DD who has has pneumonia three times in two years though, I feel like I cannot mess around...

Penguinsix, I don't know who you are, but I appreciate all of your comments on the h1n1 topic!!!!

i think if your daughter has asthma she should get the shot both times. children and adults with asthma are not supposed to get the mist version.

Yes to PP -- OP, if your child has asthma, she is not eligible for the mist. She MUST get a shot. (I have asthma too.)

http://www.flu.gov/news/blogs/10dayordeal.html

What it tries to relate is that for people with pre-existing lung problems, the onset of H1N1, from 'I don't feel so good' to 'Maybe it is time for the ER' can be frightfully quick.

Lovely. Not the OP, but have a 2 year old son with asthma, which is probably the only reason swine flu is on my radar. But I must say that I have two friends whose asthmatic kids got swine flu and were just fine; it was very mild. Just another indication of how completely unpredictable this flu is (of course, maybe seasonal flu is just as wacky).
