I met one recently and realized it was one I hadn’t really heard before. |
No, but I have 2 relatives named Nellie. |
There was an Eleanor nn Nell in my class in elementary school. 1997-1999 or so. Even then when the movie was fairly recent no one ever associated her name with the movie. 25 years later it’s certainly not what first pops in people’s head. It’s a sweet name OP. |
Not uncommon in UK.
"Let not poor Nelly starve..." |
I know a Nell. She's in 4th grade. |
I know a Nellie in Kindergarten. I guess she’s Nell? I don’t know. |
I know a 5th grade Nelle. |
I know 2 under 2, several in elementary. |
Just one, she'd be somewhere in early elementary |
A teen named Nell |
I had a friend named Nell. She HATED her name. Became an attorney and constantly had letters addressed to her as Neil. When she had kids, she decided to name them Ann and John. |
Dorothy Nell is a traditional name in our family. I love it.
