ISO Recs for warm-weather mid-size small or mid-size city schools

Anonymous
My daughter loved the College of Charleston, and I'm looking for other similar schools for her list. She wants warm weather, liberal arts, not too big (10K undergrad is ideal, but more is OK), near a small or mid-size city (i.e., not too rural or remote), and not too selective -- her SAT is 1300. I'm particularly interested in VA, NC, SC, FL, CA, OR, but open to other states too. Thanks!

So broad OP.

Start here. Find a dozen or so options and then come back and ask for feedback on ones that you think are promising. https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-search

Belmont
Costal Carolina
Sewanee and Appalachian State both might be a little too rural/small town for your DD but worth a look
Wake Forest and University of Richmond as reaches
If ok with bigger schools: NC State, ECU, Auburn, VCU

Elon and High Point in NC, Eckerd and Rollins in FL, Willamette in Oregon all might work. Possibly University of the Redlands in CA.

Tulane, university of Tampa (a beautiful campus), Emory, Occidental

Out west: LMU, USD. SCU for a reach. I think they're each around 6k undergrad.

That is unrealistic. The 25th percentile for students admitted to the class of 2022 at Tulane is 1420. https://admission.tulane.edu/apply/getting-into-tulane

For class of 2022 enrolled students, the middle 50 percentiles are SAT EBRW 670-730 and SAT math 680-760. https://tulane.app.box.com/s/zwm37ymscy77bx5oh0elusqfcsnl66sz

Hey...I’m just telling you an actual fact. My DD was accepted and offered merit aid of about $5000 per year. Maybe they want more kids from this area.
