| It was reporting on a huge news conference live by the head of state of a unsc and g7 member. |
| I don't have time for gleeful posts about attacks on Islam that contain bigoted references to Huntington. I just don't understand that when it is possible to be Islamophobic on just about any website on the Internet, you insist on coming to this one. |
Sam huntington was a tenured professor at harvard who mentored liberals like Fareed Zakaria. Since when did he cross the line at dcum? Furthermore, the quotes were literal headlines from main-stream news sources directly out of the mouth of Macron. The yahoo news article made the title all caps and I just copied-and-pasted. It's fair discussion. Would be be acceptable to post without references to huntington? |
If your headline reflects more of what Macron said and you leave out Huntington. Huntington may or may not have taught Zakaria to plagiarize but he was also Kris Kobach's main mentor at Harvard. The fact that you excitedly reference Huntington in support of Macron attacking Islam really says enough. Educated bigots are no better than ignorant bigots. Maybe worse actually. |
This is not really the forum for this, but I was a Political Science major as an undergrad and studied Huntington. Here is the guy you are idealizing:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/book-party/wp/2017/07/18/samuel-huntington-a-prophet-for-the-trump-era/ This treatment of his work by wapo shows the gravity of his insight. |

Good work OP. You managed to get the Islamophobes to come out of the woodwork. I've locked your thread. Please don't start any similar ones.
