Very sore left nipple after 18 months of breastfeeding

I'm trying to wean in the next few months but for about 2 weeks now, it kills when she feeds from the left side. I don't see anything on the nipple so I have no idea what is going on. Any ideas? Thank you

Talk to your doctor but a bruise is most likely. Definitely time to step up weaning!

Have you got your cycle back? I get painful nipples when ovulation is happening.

Could also be a clogged duct. You can try some lecithin to help get it out.

Sounds like a clogged duct or mastitis. Check with your OB.
