| For Thanksgiving, it will be just DH,DC and me. We grew up in the South so cornbread dressing is very much a norm during the holidays. As much as we do enjoy having our traditional dressing, it takes forever to prep and cook. Do you have a quicker recipe that you just love? Thanks! |

We make ours ahead. It's a simple recipe, but a good compliment to turkey:
Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Stuffing Swanson Chicken Broth Butter (for saute & for bread cubes) Celery Onion Before Thanksgiving: Chop and saute Celery & Onions in Butter. Freeze Thanksgiving Day: Thaw celery & onion. Add remaining ingredients and bake. |

Check out the last recipe in the vegetarian stuffing post.
I grew up with cornbread stuffing but never make it--use my late MIL's recipe which is similar to PP's, except I usually cut up my own bread and add seasonings. |
| Add a small amount of cooked wild rice to any stuffing (well, maybe not cornbread)... it really classes it up! |
| Thanks all! I have a huge issue of making way too much for just two people! I grew up in a huge Southern family. We would have 3 huge tables covered with food. I usually cook my grandmother's dressing but it makes a ton! So, I am also trying to keep the quantity down and well as cook time. |
| There's no such thing as too much stuffing! |
I totally agree! |
