Infertility Support and Discussion
| Anyone try this? When to start and how much? |
| Never heard of this, but I have heard of using Robitussin for the same purpose - I did it and it worked the first cycle I tried after TTC for 6+ months. I just used it after I got the positive on the OPK. |

Lots of folks trying to get pregnant, and they can help you with the answer. I do not know the answer to your question. You will have to get a user name and password on the website. |

I don't know the answer to your question, but Mucinex did cause an increase in my cm. It was a week ago and I thought it was a sign of ovulation, but still have no rise in temps after a week.
I'm not sure it was the Mucinex or not, but there was a definite difference. |
Thank you! |
| baby asprin can help too, I can't remember exactly how, but I do know so fertility doc's will start with this first. You can google it. good luck |

the active ingredient in mucinex is guaiafenisin (sorry about my spelling). It is the same ingredient in robutusin. (If you go the robutusin route, be sure to buy a variety w/ plenty of guaiafenisin).
The stuff has gotten pretty expensive, but they have it at cosco for a more reasonable price. You can take a fair amount - I was perscribed 2400 mg per day for other reasons. The drug is a mucus thinner. That's what it does. That is why it is an expectorant (thin the phlegm and you can cough it out). That is why it works down there. |
| Drink lots of water! It helped me. |
| did you get pregnant from the mucinex |
| This is OP. I did take the mucinex and got pregnant and, but I really don't think it had any impact. I didn't notice any increased cervical fluid (which is the point of the mucinex). I think it was just good timing. |
