Considering switching to this Ped for my toddler after moving to this area. Any good or bad experiences to share?? Do they have separate well/sick waiting area and office rooms? Are the phlebotomists gentle when drawing blood? Any pro or cons to consider?
Any and all advice welcome! Thanks! |
We are on the waitlist here and I'm wondering the same thing... hopefully there will be some responses...

We LOVED Dr. Martin when he was at Advanced Pediatrics. We didn't follow him to Einstein because we moved out of the area but if we had stayed we would have gone. Big props to them for requiring their patients to be vaccinated. |
My kids go to Advanced Pediatrics where Dr Martin used to be. I do not have answers to the practice-specific questions, but he is a great doctor. We are happy at AP, but would switch to Einstein if not. |
Dr. Martin used to be available 4-5 days per week the first year he opened his practice. We were recently told we need to schedule an appt one month in advance to see him. |
Not sure if we’ll stay. I got the impression he’s more interested in seeing newborns and toddlers rather than teens. |
We went there the first year they opened. This was when it was just Dr Martin then right before we left they added the nurse practitioner.
We left for two reasons: 1) the hours were bad. My kid would invariably get sick on a Friday afternoon and they only had Saturday hours once a month at that point 2) I'd call for advice if they wanted my kid to come in or not. They'd tell me to come in and when we came in, I was basically told coming in wasn't necessary so it was all a waste of time and money. This happened twice. |
NP. Thanks for all this info. We use Advanced and we loved Dr. Martin - always felt like he explained stuff thoroughly and without being patronizing. We’ve been considering switching at some point, but this thread is making me think we won’t bother. |
