suggestions for saturday night getaway (no kids) first weekend in December?

We are expecting baby #3 and my parents just agreed to watch kids 1 and 2 the first weekend in December (5th and 6th).

Do you have suggestions for a 2 day getaway within driving distance (~4 hours or less each way) from DC? Maybe something or somewhere that is especially nice this time of year (i.e. the holiday season). Or just a great inn, etc?

Colonial Williamsburg....However, the Grand Illumination is 6 Dec. The holiday atmosphere is terrific and less commercialized.
