Using AAA for oil changes

Anonymous
Has anyone used their AAA membership to have their oil changed or any other type of maintenance work done?

I am looking for a better option than the dealership and haven't had very good luck at Jiffy Lube. My car isn't under a warranty so no issue with voiding it.

Thanks for any experience you could share!

You don't void a warranty by having the local mechanic or even your able neighbor change your oil.

Just ask around the neighborhood (or even here) which local independent mechanic to go to.

AAA does maintenance?

What went wrong at Jiffy Lube?

I buy my own oil (Walmart) and filter (Amazon), and have a local mechanic do the work. I pay about $20 for labor.

No, just needs to be documented.

NP. AAA has some car care facilities now that do repairs. There’s one in Rockville.
