Is there a sound difference between Bose over ear quiet comfort and the soundlink headphones? (Beyond price)
These are for my mum and she can only do over ear. Tia. |
Don't do any headphones if you don't have to. My father had a slight hearing problem and once started using headphones for music and TV his hearing went down very fast to a need of a hearing aid. The doctor said that he sees this happening across the age groups. My father is really sorry now he ever started the headphones. If he could go back he would do. Every day he keeps saying that it was the biggest mistake of his life because his doctor who is his friend told him that he would never experience such a hearing loss otherwise. |
Thank you but these are for travel. |
There are three Bose shops in the DC area (including Pentagon City and Tysons). You could try them on and compare there as each person might hear highs / lows a bit differently.
The biggest issue for travel, at least for me, is: a) comfort b) size Comfort--I fly Asian long-hauls regularly and no matter what I use, after five or six hours it can start to be annoying. You'll probably want to see which one fits her better and feels more comfortable (fwiw the QC's feel annoying on the top of my head, but I have kind of a fat head). Size - The big QC headphones were actually kind of annoying in that they took up a bit of space in my carry on. I think the two you mentioned are about the same size but you might want to look at how they collapse for packing. |
I LOVE my QC. I will not fly without them. Had them for years. Use them for domestic and 15 hour Asia (DFW-HKG). Love, love, love. |
