3 family vacation suggestions?

Hi - we're looking for a place to go with 3 families (one family is from the DC, one from NY and the 3rd family from CA). Can anyone suggest a good place to go as a group - either a large vacation rental home somewhere, or resort? We were thinking of telluride, but weren't sure about summer time activities. Together we have 3 four yr old girls and boys, ages 6,7,9. We're flexible with location, just want a fun, nice location with good local amenities. Would love any suggestions! Thanks
