They're a total distraction. We have one and took it down because DD was fkxated on it during naps.

Why do you want to screw it in?

This clips in, but it's been great. DS soon learned how to turn it on himself in the middle of the night to put himself back to sleep. Once he was bigger, we took off the mobile part.
