DC car show

This is happening right now and it's the last weekend.

DW wants a new car and is interested in a bunch of different models. Basically, she wants a mid-sized SUV-crossover or wagon with AWD (RAV4, Subaru Crosstrek, Mazda CX-5, Volvo XC-40, Audi Q3, etc).

Any tips for visiting the car show? Can we actually get inside the cars?

Yea you can get inside the cars, push all the buttons.

It's a good way to determine which car's interior you like, and try out ease of ingress/egress, passenger/cargo room, and etc.

I notice that the CR-V is missing from your list that includes the RAV4. That's like leaving Chick-fil-a out of a selection of chicken sandwiches.

Yes, go during the week. The Land Rover driving event was great.

Also, unless you're leasing I would cross the Q3 and XC40 off your list.

Yes, you can get in them. I thought the car show was kind of a bust this year, for me at least. I was looking for mercedes and maybe the new BMW, but those brands didn't show. Tons of American cars.

It's a nice way to lay eyes on a bunch of options in one place and without a salesperson breathing down your neck. I vote Subaru, though I have the Forester, not the Outback.

We went last weekend and loved it. I just bought a car and would have loved to have access to so many different models since I had no idea what to get.

We were there late on Saturday night, left around 8:30 and by then it was pretty empty.

The car rides were pretty cool. We took our two elementary school kids and we all had a great time.

Just went today, great opportunity to see a bunch of different cars in a short span of time. Usually you can't test drive, but you can cross cars off your list

For example, I had my eye on the Mazda 3. Sat in one today and realized my head touches the roof while in my driving position. Dave's me a trip to the dealership when it comes time to shop
