Bedroom arrangements for 4 kids

Anonymous
DS age 9
DD age 7
DD age 5
DS age 2

House has 3 bedrooms for kids (we are taking the master). 1 is big enough for bunk beds with a bigger closet. The other 2 are very small.

I’m leaning toward DDs sharing the big room because they love each other right now and play well together. But not sure what the future holds for any of their personalities...

Good idea. But stop leaning or you may get pregnant again.

OP - thanks for judging but they are all planned and don’t want any more.

The answer is obvious. The two girls share the big room and each boy gets his own, due to the age difference.

What else could it possibly be? Would you really separate two close, same sex siblings and put a 9 year old in with a 2 year old?
Or did you want to give one girl her own room, the two year old his own room, and put the 9 year old boy in with his sister?

OP - it seems obvious to me but I’m worried one day they’ll say I was sexist for giving the boys their own rooms

This was my family growing up.

Boys had their own room, girls shared. When guests came, they got one of the boys's rooms and the boys shared. When girls were 13 and 11, my parents turned the office / study into a bedroom and then we each had our own room.

Have the amount of kids you can afford in the house you can afford. I would hate sharing a bedroom for my whole childhood.

Laugh in their faces if they do. They're getting the bigger room.

I would give the older kids their own rooms.

7 and 5 year olds share a room. Unless the older kids want to, you can always switch down the line and then put the two girls together. I wouldn’t overthink it!

I came from a big family and shared a room throughout childhood. Some of my best memories!

Who needs three rooms..

My girls share a room and our boy has his own (also because he is a baby). The girls LOVE being together and would hate to be separated. They were together even before baby was born so we had an empty room for over a year

This isn't a woman posting that money is tight. She is buying a 4 bedroom home. You need a reality check, stat.
