Where to Sell a Car for Scrap in Bethesda Area

We have a car that needs as much $ in work as it is worth. However the body and interior are in great shape, so we want to sell it for scrap. We have donated cars in the past, but we're looking to recoup some of the $ we've put into the car.

Scrap prices are low now ($0.70 per hundred pounds) we looked into this when dumping a 15 yr old car (compact sedan). Adjusting for tire weight (they don’t pay you for that) we would have gotten about $200. We opted to sell to We Buy Any Car, got $425. Rockville Metals is where we called.

Trade it in for a new car. While buying a new car dealership may give you more for the car then it is wort on the book just to make a deal and sell the new car.
