Parenting -- Special Concerns
Not sure what the protocol is.
Do you want your marriage to work out or are you 100% headed towards divorce? If the marriage is over, and you feel ready to take off your ring then you should.

When I was married I never wore my band, at that time I worked manual labor. My ex-wife on the other hand (no pun intended) wore hers all the time...guess who was caught in an act of infidility. To some the ring represents their vows (which was my position, and which is why I never wanted to wear it...for fear of losing it or tarnishing it) To others it is nothing but a nice piece of jewerly. If your ready to move on, then take it off...good luck. |
I don't use mine.
I took mine off the day I moved out. My ex-to-be still wears his. I think both of us are trying to make a statement. He is very controlling and still doesn't believe we're divorcing; I wanted to show him he didn't have power over me. It felt good to take it off. I'll never wear it again.
