Your local police?
The phone company? |

911 dispatcher here.
What kind of threat was it? and Do you know the person and have the number or was it unknown? Generally the Police will tell you to block the number unless we see it as a legitimate threat against your safety. |

I did once a long time ago in CA. They said without any kind of action there was nothing they could do. The caller said he was a neighbor, but I didn't recognize the person. This was looong before caller ID. Anyhow, the cops sent a "cop in training" over to my house and to the neighbor's house. I had no threatening call after that.
I say call the non emergency line. |
| If you paid your bills, the collection agency wouldn't have to threaten you. |
Yelling a racial slur. I have the number and who called according to Google, but I don't know them personally. |
The number could be a “spoof” - the caller was not necessarily the person who owns that number. |
+100 I get calls spoofing the White House, FCPS, federal govt agencies. All very annoying especially ones spoofing where my kids go to school. |
911 dispatcher again. This is not a threat in itself, not even a crime unfortunately. Block the number that they used. |
