semen analysis - poor morphology

is poor morphology actually fairly normal? Dh’s motility and spend count came back fine but we aren’t getting a good read from the urologist on what his morphology actually means. he got 3% normal

My DHs was the same and our RE didn’t seem to think it was an issue.

My DH's was 4% which is technically normal... we've had 2 natural pregnancies since then.

Mine got 1% normal. We now have 2 kids after 2 rounds of ivf with icsi.

It can vary between samples, but even the normal range is pretty low (I think it's 4% and above). MF generally accounts for a significant portion of fertility issues, so it's not exactly uncommon. The bright side to MF is that as long as it's not a complete lack of sperm, treatment is pretty straight forward - IVF with ICSI. Although, if morphology was the only slightly low #, its possible there may be some approaches that are available short of IVF. DH had severe MF, so IVF was it for us (although we had our first easily and were incredibly surprised to find we had such major issues, so luck does play a HUGE part).

Mine got 1% normal but RE said it was not an issue because his count was very high with excellent motility. It's especially not an issue if you're doing ICSI.

did you conceive naturally even with the morphology issue?
