Has anyone used the Costco Auto Program to buy their new car?

If so, did you like it?

Do you feel like you saved some money over the dealership route?

How long did it take to get your vehicle?

Any negatives?

Thank you!

I kind of did.
Costco program is just an access to fair and square prices as they said.
Doesn't mean you can't negotiate lower.
We bought 2 cars recently, used Costco both times with mixed results. First car - dealership affiliated with Costco gave us good price but their inventory was limited, so we used Costco quote to negotiate down price @ Fitzgerald.
Second car - Costco was just a way in to start talking with multiple dealerships. Ended up with price lower then originally quoted from Costco price list (whatever heck that is).
Bottom line - I'm not sure that program is any better than sending request via other services like penfed/truecar or Edmunds. You still have to do your legwork to get the best deal.

Yes - it is fine if you are buying s normal car. Like a pilot or something. A lot of higher end cars or cars that are limited production are not included in it. Like a Toyota Land Cruiser or trd off road limited pro or something.
They realize prices once a moth, like the 25th to the dealers. Some dealers will email you the price - some make you come in.

I started to and found I could negotiate a better deal plus the dealer has hounded me for months after I told him I moved on.

Same, I just used it as a comparison to the "internet prices" I got via e-mailing dealers directly. It was pretty much the same.

We took the dealership's Costco price and showed it to another dealership who ended up beating the Costco price, so we got the car from them. This was with two Toyota dealerships.

Costco was not the lowest price for us, mainly because their preferred dealers only had models with more features than we wanted. I do think it is worth checking to see what kind of price they offer.

These car buying services are not going to be cheaper than negotiating with a dealer for a car on their lot, they are meant for people that don't want to negotiate.
