donor embryo costs

Hi, moving on to donor embryos. Currently with SG, which does not have a great DE database and costs $8000. Wondering if anyone used other local clinics for donor embryos and what did your costs come out to be?

You can often find free embryos for donation. (Try FB Embryo Adoption and Donation Support Group)

Just have to pay for legal fees and transportation. Which should be around $1,500.

Then FET are usually around $5,000 - $7,000 depending on the clinic.

The embryo adoption and FET are separate processes. You can adopt an embryo from a number of places (snowflakes, for example) including some local clincis such as Columbia Associates and Shady Grove. There is no cost for the embryo (it is illegal to purchase or sell embryos) but the legal and transfer fees can cost a couple of thousand of dollars. Once you’ve arranged for the adoption of the embryos, then the clinic just does an FET and pay that cost.
