| Does anyone have suggestions on what time to arrive to the Fairfax clinic? My kids wake up early - between 6:30 and 7am so I would rather arrive there early. Should I plan to be there at 8am? The clinic has 12,000 vaccines on Saturday. |

If you feel like waiting 4 hours, show up at 8am. If you'd like to walk-in and walk-out in under 30 minutes (and this includes filling out paperwork and sitting in the recovery area) show up in the afternoon.
Keep checking their website for up-to-date info on the lines. We never intended to go to the Oct mass clinic because we feared the lines but, by the afternoon, the place was empty. |
| Ditto PP. After lunch at their previous mass clinics, there was no wait. People that arrived in the AM waited 4-6 hours. Your choice. |
| We arrived early for one of the weekday clinics and waited for 3 hours. If we'd arrived after lunch, then we would have been in and out in under a half hour. |
OP here - thanks for all of your responses! Where on the website can I check for updated info on the lines? Will it be posted on the day of the clinic? Thanks again! |
| Yes, it will be posted day of the clinic. You can also follow on facebook. They post updates of wait times throughout the day. |
| http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/flu/ This page will have the updates. Good luck! |

I'm a Montgomery County resident, but can't go to the Nov 22 clinic, so was thinking about going to Fairfax instead. My daughter needs an H1N1 booster. Does anyone know if Fairfax is restricting to just residents?
Thanks! |
| It is open to everyone regardless of residency location -- I think that is true for all of the county/city public health department clinics in the region. |
| We just got back-it only took about 30-40 minutes, very efficient, friendly, easy to park, etc.. DC is one, and they are providing the second dose for children 9 and under. |
| Just got back, and I must admit I am really impressed with the organization. We were in and out in 30 min. |
| We were surprised to see that there was absolutely no wait at 10:00 a.m., and hurried out to the clinic... We probably arrived by 10:45 and were out within 20-30 minutes. I think perhaps the long lines at the other mass clinics have scared people off! Don't be scared. If this clinic is any guide, it seems there may be no 3-hour waits at all, regardless of the time of day. |
