Does Bethenny have any allies left on the show? It seems like they mostly show her talking to her driver, her makeup team, and her assistants.

Well, she's had a sudden change of heart about Sonja and Luann. Now they are tight, when she was about ready to sue Sonja into oblivion a few years ago and called Luann a whore a year ago. This show is so dysfunctional, as are the people who appear on it.

Bethenny hasn't had a change of heart. She was alliance building. She wants Dorinda, Tinsley, and Carole off the show. Dorinda and Carole will both call her out on her shit and even they have their own issues, they are both very good at verbal sparring. Bthenney the B is used to being on the show with women who won't or can't give it back to her. That's her real issue with Ramona too. Sonja is too crazy for anyone to take too seriously and Lou is too self centered to ever be able to mount any reasonable defense against anyone.

Andy Cohen is pretty vile for how much he pushes the unnacceptable behavior. Most of the cast didn't want to be on film for Jill's husband's funeral but Bethenny insisted. When the others called her out for this, Andy backed her up. Andy said Jill wanted it filmed. I think very poorly of Andy, Jill, and Bethenny.

Bobby Zarin was a "character" on the show for a lot of years. And they shot outside the funeral after the fact and of course Jill had the ability to shut it down and she chose not to. Probably because she still craves fame and also knew the fans would appreciate it as part of the story of RHONY. Widows can choose to grieve however they want. I'm interested to see how they treat Dennis's death since the reunion already filmed- just wait till next season I guess? There definitely weren't cameras at that funeral.

I suspect Andy might give a few newly-filmed remarks at some point, or they might show a written follow up card.

Seriously who gives a flying fig what you think? When your spouse dies handle it how you want. As Jill should have.

I think Andy was pretty clear that he was the one who insisted. Jill requested for it to be filmed initially (totally sick IMO), Andy salivated, Bethenny agreed, the rest of the women were more reluctant. The others said that the cameras were only there because Bethenny wanted to film, but Andy was pretty clear this wasn't the case. So I don't think you could put this on Bethenny.

I think someone dying of cancer is different to ODing from being a drug addict. I doubt they choose to make it a big part of the storyline, even if the cameras had been allowed at the wedding.

I think the only one Bethenny considers a worthy opponent in any way is Ramona, and Bethenny is business savvy enough to know that without Ramona, there really isn't a show. The rest of the women are a joke.

His background was as a producer of the Housewives franchises before he became a host. Has anyone watched "UnReal" or heard of any of the shenanigans that reality tv producers get into to make their "narrative?" A well-known prior housewife OFFERS to have a big emotional story line for your show, NO ONE says no to that. If they do, they get fired as a producer or their show is a flop. Again, this was Jill's choice and her right as a widow/family member to do what she pleased. And it's Andy's job to push for it. He's a reality tv producer/star, not a person with a moral compass. It's called ratings. They live and die by them.

If you watch the season, Dorinda and Bethenny weren't even at odds. All season on camera they more or less got along fine and even relied on each other in some rough moments.

It's all post-filming that Dorinda turned on Bethenny. Right around the time Carole started writing all the shitty blogs. It doesn't take a genius to figure out those two are tight off camera and talking to each other. Whatever Carole is whispering in Dorinda's ear is not helping her out in the least. She's been defiant and defensive in real time while the show has been airing and making herself look 100x worse.

Dennis was hardly on the show. Bobby Zarin was on all the time. My take is Bethenny did Jill a favor filming at the funeral and probably knew it on some level. It gave Jill great PR and finally closed the book on the feud where Jill was the bad guy. Paving her way to be back on the show? Having more guest spots?

I'd much rather have Jill back than a new "housewife" who adds nothing to the dynamic (Tinsley). I wish they could work in the younger housewives better over all. It'd be nice to get fresh faces, but they have to be able to integrate into the existing story lines and personalities. The new OC additions are TERRIBLE and won't last 1 season. They had zero existing friendship with the current housewives and pretty much just have their own storylines of "young kids are hard." I think that's the problem with younger housewives- the kids are too big of a burden to really invest in the show. Need someone with like middle/high school aged kids who are self-sufficient. That's where LuAnn, Jill, and Ramona started.

Also, to go back to this week's episode, I'm usually on team Bethenny, but I thought her defense of LuAnn's treatment of Dorinda/John was a little strange and does sort of speak to her just picking her allies of the moment over reasonable logic. I didn't get LuAnn's excuse at all ("I said he couldn't come, but I assumed he would anyway, even without a ticket and therefore I realized I should also invite Scott") and actually came out on Dorinda's side of it. But Dorinda had also been awful to LuAnn, so Lu didn't really need much justification for not inviting John and sort of should've just stuck to that. "Yes, you helped me with the dresses, but that was before we had a giant falling out in Colombia, so no, I'm not really doing you any favors at the moment because I'm still upset about it, sorry."

As the show has aired, Dorinda has been able to see Bethenny call her out numerous times - in talking heads and in conversations with others - for Dorinda’s drunken, inappropriate behavior in Puerto Rico. I think that has something to do with the estrangement.

Bethenny crows about being honest and it's been proven that she's not. She's all about manipulation. You try to make Carole sound like some viscious harpy. Carole spoke up after vile Bethenny attacked her.
