You sound like a complete nightmare parent. You sidestepped the question as to what difference it makes that your son's team has minority players from the entire economic spectrum. |
One of PPs here. I never stated nor implied in my post the color of players. I only said wealthy. Maybe someone else did so. In any case, I am happy that your son is developing into an athlete. My guess is that he is under 12. If so, my bet is that he will not stick with Lacrosse as his main sport. Like I said, real athletes don't play lacrosse. Jim Brown played lacrosse at Syracuse but he is know for his football skills. |
"He is know for his football skills" Classic |
I guess we should have LAX affirmative action? |
Terrible post. Everyone knew what the poster meant. |
I addressed the point head in. You are a moron. Good luck with that. |
He is over 12 and will keep playing all three sports all through high school. Just out of curiosity, what do real athletes play, other than football? Baseball....if they can stay awake? |
No, you didn't. What difference does it make that your son plays with kids of different ethnicities? Further, why would you mention "different economic backgrounds"? What's your point? |
There is the "'Dude" poster again ![]() |
Does anyone have numbers to show which of the DC-area lacrosse clubs have the best record of placing boys on college teams? I've checked out the websites, but it's really hard to get accurate year by year tallies, or even trends. |
I agree that the person(s) who keeps trying to convince this board that LAX is “not a real sport,” doesn’t understand life in the bubble. In our bubble, LAX is king of the private high school sports. LAX REALLY matters to otherwise rational and very successful ADULTS in the bubble. That said, the perspective of this outsider is worth noting. All too often I see LAX players making a college decision based on the opportunity to play LAX only to become disillusioned to discover that (ever with the best collegiate LAX programs) being a LAX player doesn’t place you at the top of the social heap in the same way that top LAX players are revered in the bubble. Life as an elite LAX player will never be as great as it was when they were in high school – you must find some other source of achievement |
The Baltimore clubs - Crabs & M&D |
Because the nfl paid well and there was no lacrosse alternative, perhaps? |
M&D is for girls. Their boys partner team - the Zingos - have a marginal track record for college placement. |
Unless you go to JHU or some other east coast school where it matters, no one cares about lacrosse or lacrosse players. the LAX folks indeed live in a bubble.
